Stuff It Upholstery

Before becoming an upholsterer, I spent twenty years working in fashion, transforming designer's visions into beautiful, well-made garments for a premium quality brand.

After a huge lifestyle change and a move to the North Norfolk coast we bought a two hundred year old blacksmiths cottage which we began restoring.  As the walls and rooms were being rebuilt, I turned my practical skills to restoring furniture.  I signed up for a weekend upholstery course and was instantly hooked.  I then spent two and half years and a weekly trip to Essex honing my craft and training at the Upholstery Skills Centre to gain a AMUSF Upholstery diploma. I loved the people, the learning and the whole process.

Armed with this experience I grew my business and built my workshop.  I love every part of my work from meeting the clients and helping them select a fabric to stripping off the old layers and working in the new ones .........and finally the exciting big reveal.
